On Sunday night the Cleveland Cavaliers were crowned NBA Champions. The “Cleveland Sports Curse” is over, the city of Cleveland won a championship for the first time since 1964. There were storylines all over the place in this NBA Finals series, it’s tough to pick one to choose. The first six games were all blowouts, the Cavaliers came back from being down 3 games to 1, Kevin Love was nowhere to be found, Kyrie Irving came up clutch, LeBron had a ridiculous series averaging 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 2.6 steals, and 2.3 blocks on his way to MVP and made “The Block” as shown below, Steph Curry struggled mightily and the 73 win Warriors had their chance to close it out at home twice and couldn’t finish the Cavs off. And that’s just some of the potential storylines, it was certainly an exciting series to follow.
To recap The Kitchen picks, Joe took the crown with 18 total points as he went big with his Cavaliers Finals pick while the rest of us all picked the Warriors to win the series in 7 games. The NBA Playoffs were more predictable for the most part than the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs as we each selected 10+ series winners correctly.
