Here we go again…the NBA Finals will feature the defending champion Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers for second straight season. Compared to the NHL Finals where both teams were a bit of a surprise, we’ve been looking forward to a NBA Finals rematch from the start. After an outstanding Western Conference Finals matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder where they overcame a three games to one deficit, the Golden State Warriors are the favorites to repeat. In the Eastern Conference the Cleveland Cavaliers continued their easy path to the Finals as they beat the Toronto Raptors in six games.
Top performance of the Conference Finals round goes to Warriors Klay Thompson for his incredible shooting performance in Game 6 at Oklahoma City. Thompson came up big in the clutch going 11-for-18 from three and scored 41 points to even the series at three games apiece. Check out all 11 threes by Thompson below, his quick release is deadly.
We have a close contest on our hands in The Kitchen with Joe and Paul tied going into the Finals. We’re certain to have a winner since Joe has picked Cavaliers in six games and Paul has picked the Warriors in seven games. The Finals start tonight at Golden State at 9 p.m. EST.
